What is the Society of Finsler Geometry?
The Society of Finsler Geometry has the purpose to
promote the research of Finsler Geometry and its Applications and to
bring together the researchers from Japan and abroad.
The Society was founded in 1968 by the late Professor Makoto
Matsumoto in the period he was professor at Kyoto University, Japan.
The budget of the Society is based on research grants,
donations and memmbership fee. Using this budget, an international
Symposium on Finsler Geometry is organized every year since 1968, and a
Proceeding for each Symposium is issued.
